A Beautiful Night of Hope

On September 25, 2026, Ferryman’s House held its first-ever fundraiser, and we could not have asked for a more wonderful evening! It was truly a night filled with fellowship, community, and support for the mission of Ferryman’s House.

Guests enjoyed tasty refreshments and a delectable dinner generously provided by Simply Yaya Catering. We are also incredibly grateful to Vicki’s Flowers for the beautiful floral arrangements that helped make the evening so special.

A very special thank-you goes to the NACC Presidential Host Ambassadors for their invaluable help in making the dinner such a success. Your support, hospitality, and hard work helped create a memorable evening for everyone in attendance.

Throughout the evening, we were honored to hear from Ferryman’s House President Justin Lackey, members of our Board of Directors, and Program Director Beverly Benson, who shared more about the heart and mission behind Ferryman’s House and the impact being made in our community.

We were also grateful to hear from Judge Brent Benson, whose support and commitment to the families we serve continues to mean so much to Ferryman’s House.

A heartfelt thank-you to Pastor Ryan Johnson for preparing a beautiful video highlighting Ferryman’s House and the work being done to support children and families in our community. The video featured Jackson County resident, Brad Volpi and his family who spoke to what The Ferryman's House means to them.

And a very special thank-you to Mr. and Mrs. Ferry, whose dedication, hard work, and love have helped make Ferryman’s House and this fundraiser possible. Ferryman’s House exists not only to serve children and families in our community, but also to honor the life and memory of their son, Matt Ferry.

The work of Ferryman’s House is inspired by Matt’s memory and the desire to carry his legacy forward by creating a place where families can find support, connection, and hope. The Ferry family has poured their time, energy, and heart into helping bring this vision to life. Without their dedication and hard work, we could not have pulled off this special evening—or continued building the vision that Ferryman’s House represents.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, donated, and helped make our first fundraiser possible. This evening was more than a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community, a celebration of Matt’s legacy, and a reminder of what can happen when people come together to build hope and strengthen families.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who played a part in making this special night possible. ❤️

Thank you for believing in the mission of Ferryman’s House, honoring Matt’s legacy with us, and helping us continue to bridge the gap for families in need.
